Transylvania does not appear as a state "governed by Romanians", like Wallachia or Moldavia, but as a state containing a Romanian population. We know that for modern Hungarian historiography the Romanians appeared in Transylvania only during the 13th century as a very minority after having disappeared for a thousand years, but this does not mean that this theory is the only valid one.
