Deutsch: Die richtige Rolle der freien Frauen in der goreanischen Gesellschaft ist einer der am meisten missverstandenen Aspekte von Gor. Dieses Missverständnis wird durch mehrere Faktoren aufrechterhalten. Erstens besagt die Rhetorik in vielen Büchern, dass alle Frauen Sklavinnen sein sollten. Zweitens zeigt eine flüchtige Lesung der Romane, dass im Grunde alle großen freien Frauencharaktere, die oft hochmütig sind, als Sklaven enden. Drittens gibt es den populären Mythos, dass die männliche Dominanz auf Gor absolut ist. Diese drei Ansichten kombinieren sich, um den Blick auf freie Frauen auf Gor zu verzerren. Erst durch ein tieferes Studium der Romane wird die Komplexität der Rolle der freien Frauen auf Gor besser verstanden. Sie sind weit mehr als potenzielle Sklavinnen.

English: The proper role of free women in Gorean society is one of the most misunderstood aspects of Gor. This misunderstanding is perpetuated by several factors. First, the rhetoric in much of the books states that all women should be slaves. Second, a cursory reading of the novels shows that basically all of the major free women characters, who are often haughty, end up as slaves. Third, there is the popular myth that male dominance is absolute on Gor. These three views combine to skew one’s view of free women on Gor. It is only through a deeper study of the novels do you better understand the complexity of the role of free women on Gor. They are far more than potential slaves.
Free women are accorded respect, courtesy and honor in Gor.
